# Equipment Registration

#### Equipment Management in Sequor MES

The **Equipment Registration** is the module responsible for registering, organizing, and managing all **equipment and machines** used in the production process.

Through it, Sequor MES ensures **traceability, standardization, and monitoring of industrial assets**, enabling control of costs, maintenance, and operational performance.

#### Purpose of the registration

The purpose of equipment registration is to structure the essential information for each asset, allowing:

* Associate the equipment with the **plant, area, and production line**;
* Register **costs, dates, and technical information**;
* Link **materials, functional location, and production data**;
* Ensure **integration between production, maintenance, and engineering**.

> 💡 **Tip:** complete and up-to-date equipment registration is essential for OEE reports, availability indicators, and performance analyses.

## 1. Access to the module

In the Sequor MES main menu, go to:\
**Registrations → Equipment**

The module icon is represented by **a crossed wrench and tool with the “+” symbol**, indicating the function of machine registration and management.

### 1.1. Initial listing screen

The main screen displays all equipment registered in the system, with columns configured to make viewing easier:

| Field                     | Description                                                             |
| ------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Equipment Code** | Unique asset identification. |
| **Equipment Description** | Full name of the equipment or its technical designation. |
| **Functional Location** | Plant or unit where the equipment is installed. |
| **Area / Subarea** | Classification of the production sector. |
| **Building** | Indicates whether the equipment belongs to the building infrastructure. |
| **Plant**                 | Physical installation location.                                         |

> 💡 **Tip:** use the filters and grouping by **Plant / Area / Line** to view the production hierarchy (tree mode).

<figure><img src="https://2582153898-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FwAMVKtJedtiJ4RrzXGfp%2Fuploads%2F6HhMoutZYhhY7TjJopdB%2F2%20-%20Tela%20criteria.png?alt=media&amp;token=f64ff132-67cc-4c44-acd3-fbfcbb9d8c94" alt=""><figcaption><p>Criteria Screen - Equipment Registration</p></figcaption></figure>

### 1.2. Tree View

The hierarchical view of the registration allows you to navigate in an organized way through the levels:\
**Plant → Area → Line → Equipment.**

This structure makes it easier to understand asset distribution and helps in maintenance and operations analyses.

> 🔍 **Example:**\
> Plant: **SEQUOR-01** → Area: **MACHINING** → Line: **SQO-CAN-USI1** → Equipment: **MAZAK-VARIAXIS-700**.

<figure><img src="https://2582153898-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FwAMVKtJedtiJ4RrzXGfp%2Fuploads%2FrF7Clew4BQ8G2WynULvP%2F8%20-%20Tela%20criteria%20-%20vis%C3%A3o%20em%20%C3%A1rvore.png?alt=media&amp;token=81834f30-59b2-43ab-a1f5-e305499e6fc7" alt=""><figcaption><p>Criteria Screen - Tree View</p></figcaption></figure>

#### Action buttons

At the top of the screen, the main actions are available:

| Icon | Function                    |
| ---- | --------------------------- |
| ➕    | **Add new equipment**       |
| ✏️   | **Edit existing equipment** |
| 🗑️  | **Delete equipment**        |

> ⚠️ **Attention:** it is recommended **not to delete equipment with production history**. Use the option **Inactive** when it is necessary to discontinue use.

## 2. Equipment Registration Tabs
