# Registrations (Backoffice)

The **master data** are the operational foundation of the **Sequor MES**.\
They define **how the system behaves on the shop floor**, which resources are available, and which information is shared with the ERP and other systems.

In this section, you will find the main **records needed to operate the MES** correctly and in a standardized way — from products and models to operators, shifts, and downtime reasons.

Each record is essential to ensure that **production orders, records, integrations, and indicators** work in a coherent and traceable way.

### Purpose of the records

The records in Sequor MES are intended to:

* **Define production parameters** (models, cycle times, technical sheets).
* **Control physical and human resources** (stations, machines, operators, and shifts).
* **Establish reporting rules and reasons** (downtimes, scraps, rework).
* **Maintain alignment with SAP** through synchronized master data.
